re-post from old blog March 13, 2022

Current Weight 351.8 lbs

Today, I used the elliptical and did some Kiat Jud Dai. If you have not heard of it, I suggest you check it out on YouTube. There is some serious coordination involved there, too, and I am not 100% sure that I am doing it correctly yet.

When I considered whether I should start another blog after accidentally losing my old blog, I wanted to remain as transparent as possible in my physical life. Today, while looking in the mirror as I worked out, all I could think about was how disappointed I was to be almost back to where I started. I still hold onto a 38 lbs loss, but going up and down repeatedly is hard! I want to be real as well with all of the real and raw emotions, setbacks, motivation, and every facet of what you face going down this road.

I think we individually have to find what works best for us and our individual bodies. There is no one-size-fits-all for us. Some people find success on Keto, WW, or other diets, while others still struggle to find the right combination for themselves.

The biggest hurdles for me are calorie deficit and those feelings of hunger. Eventually, you become accustomed to the feelings of hunger, but it’s a hard transition. I think extreme restriction does not work either because eventually that will lead to binge eating…..I know I have been there too. So today’s menu plans are Spaghetti & Garlic toast with a salad, and the bulk of the food is the salad. If I feel like I am getting real food, the transition is much better in the long run. I may post some of what I cook on here, too, eventually.
